Red & Colored Boers

In the summer of 2009, the decision was made to purhase a small number of red does with the intent of producing red boer goats (both Purebred and Percentage). These does were purchased by, and registered in, our daughter's name under the herd name Kailyn Goats.

In the fall of 2009, these inital red boers were bred to our own herd sire - Kae Ronne Titan 500T.

In the fall of 2010, Titan, and a new red Boer Buck imported from 3M Boers in Kansas was used to produce our colored kids for 2011.

In January 2011, we were fortunate to aquire Treeline Mustang from Greta Prins in Ontario. Our decision to purchase Mustang was driven by his Type Evaluation Score of VG89 in 2010. We have been impressed by Mustang's coformational correctness and his hardiness since his arrival and will be using him on a larger number of does this Fall.

After a lengthly process of searching for additional Purebred red Herdsires, we finally chose to import 4 red bucks from the US earlier this year. These animals arrived from Jack Mauldin in Ector, Texas in September of this year. Our selection criteria for the purchase of the new bucks focused on hardiness, muscling, correct feet and legs, and strong level rumps.

The new bucks (4 red and 2 Traditionals arrived on September 19, 2011).

We are planning on breeding the majority of our herd (both colored and Traditional), to the red bucks this Fall.

Jackpot is a very strong young buck kid, with width in the chest floor and excellent muscling in the foreleg and the hind legs.

Jackpot's dam is double bred RRD Ruger, having a number of ennobled animals in her pedigree and being the offspring of the 2006 ABGA National Grand Champion Buck.

Reloaded Ammo was selected by the Mauldin's as a herd sire due to the fact that he came from a breeder that consistently produced top quality/show winning animals. He also has numerous ennoblements in his pedigree, both top and bottom.

Cracker Jack is a very long buck, showing expectional length and depth of loin and muscling throughout.

The dam, Royal Beauty is a result of Jack and Anita.'s meticulous breeding program.

Treeline was aquired due to his high classification score in 2010 while at Treeline Boers in Ontario. Mustang excels in length of body and overall muscling. In 2007, Titan was the highest gaining kid on our farm, and his legacy has carried on throughout the years as a herd sire. His offspring are consistently in the top 10% for rate of gain on the farm. His pedigree goes back to Ran H Kerel and Ram H Premier (some of the oldest , finest, and proven genetics in Canada).
